My South African Adventure

I’m on an adventure! Remember those? You know, the things we read about in children’s books. It’s unbelievably exciting. I now realize that the thing I love most about my career is the fact that it has taken me all over the world, but this is a whole new world! A place that I never thought I would see.   

South Africa is beautiful!!! Usually, I kind of know what to expect when visiting a country or region, but this time was different. I’ve never been to Africa. There is a totally different way of doing things doing here. Everything is different, awesomely and interestingly different from anything I’ve experienced before! As soon as I saw this view from the balcony of my bedroom, I knew I was in love with this place and it made the 16 hour flight totally worth it. *Dramatic sigh* Life is good! 

P.S. Life is good except for the fact that wireless Internet is pretty much non-functioning here. Sure, they have it in theory. It just doesn’t work! And that fact is generally accepted by everyone. While the models are freaking out about it, the locals are looking at us like we’re crazy. So be patient with me y’all. My post will probably be a bit sporadic while I’m here.
